For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them,
not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
Hebrews 4:2

Faith Mixed With Face

Most all things work a whole lot better when mixed with faith. For instance grace.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8

God freely gives grace, but if we don't have faith and believe God can save us by His grace we will not be saved. Faith is something that has to be within us as we set out to accomplish anything for the cause of Christ. As we do His work, it shows that our faith is working - alive and well. For faith without works is dead (James 2.) So we begin the journey with Christ by mixing grace with faith and as we continue on we mix works with our faith as well.

Christians, like Christ, must do the work of Him who sent us while it is day, for the day comes when our work here will be done and we hopefully will hear the words "Well done." It will be nice to know that God approved of what we did for Him. I can imagine God looking at our entire life posted as an enormous status on facebook. He reads all of it. He looks at all the photos and events of our lives. God looks at the pictures of each one we call friend. Finally, He will look at how many times we shared His good news with others whose faces we see every single day. Wow, wouldn't it be great to see Him hit the like button?

As silly as this may sound, God will look at how we lived our lives and what we did to spread the Gospel of Christ to the entire globe. It is our job, not just preachers, nor just teachers, or evangelist, or missionaries, but each of us who are His. Answering the call to spread the Gospel to every creature is easier today than it ever has been before. How much work is it to post an encouraging scripture as your status on facebook?

With simply a click of copy and paste we each have the power to send God's Word out for so many faces to see. By mixing our faith with facebook we have an opportunity to share scripture with the masses instantly.

Now, of course, there are going to be those who say fb is simply meant to be a site for socializing, not for evangelizing. These will not profit from the post for the faith is not there. But many will receive the Word and mix it with faith and receive Christ as their Savior by grace through that faith. We should use whatever tool we have available to share our faith while we can. For the day will come soon when all work will cease and we will see Jesus face to face.

Mix your faith into every area of your life every day.
