Daniel 2:20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: 22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him

My Hope Is In You Lord

After months and months of campaigning Election Day is upon us. Voters will vote tomorrow. One man will win. One man will lose. Some will be delighted, some disappointed. It really all comes down to the fact that everyone is looking for new hope for a better future for themselves and their families. There will be jokes and arguments. Some will say their candidate could do a much better job. Some may even say they think they themselves could do a better job. The fact remains no one can please everyone, but there will always be someone who will try. As long as there are people in search of a leader, there will be those who rise to the challenge and seek after followers.

Humans have a tendency to look outside of themselves to others to find hope. The problem is that many never realize no matter how great a man may be, no man is perfect and cannot bring perfect peace to an imperfect world. True peace only comes from God, not man, and we must learn to place all our hope in Him. A great prayer for all of us to pray today is for God to give His peace to our nation and wisdom to our leaders. He removes and sets up leaders as He chooses today, just as He did in Daniel's day. God always cast the deciding vote on all things in our lives. Psalm 20:7 tells us we should place our trust in God alone.

When we have our trust in Him, His hope and joy and peace will fill us and we will know that no matter what the outcome of an election God will be with us. If He is for us, who can be against us? He is our hope for all things.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13\
